Goodreads asked Holly Castillo:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Holly Castillo I read a lot. Usually, writer's block happens when I'm stressed about things going on in my personal life or things occurring outside of my control (I'm a bit of a control freak). When I take the time to indulge in reading, whether it's an old Tom Clancy book (I am SO in love with the Jack Ryan portrayal on Amazon Prime--though it's clearly set in modern times, I feel they nailed the Jack Ryan personality perfect), any of my many, many favorite Nora Roberts books, or discovering a new-to-me author, my brain takes a break from fretting about NOT writing. Within a day or two I'm ready to hit the keyboard again!
