Andrew Rowe The basic mana types are:

Fire, Water
Air, Earth
Mental, Perception
Transference, Enhancement
Life, Death
Light, Shadow

There are many other mana types beyond these basic ones, most of which are combinations of two mana types. For example, Lightning is a combination of Fire and Air.
