Your Dark series was my first foray into the paranormal. I loved the way family is strong in your books. How did you decided on the different abilities that are part of an ancient? Will you continue this series into the next generation?
Christine Feehan
The abilities an ancient has is often something all Carpathians have. Some do have very special abilities, but those I determine on a case by case basis. What would this character need? What would their lifemate need? What would be a good "fit" to their lifemate's special abilities. What do they need to conquer the villain? I do give a lot of thought to what abilities I give each character.
Will I continue into the next generation? Even Josef isn't old enough for a lifemate yet. If someone can just make ME immortal! LOL

A question about the Amurov family, in particular, Gorya. They call him cousin but I can't recall any reference to who his father is or he is a brother to any cousin. Just that Fyodor felt Gorya's father had killed his mother to show loyalty to the Bratya... Is cousin a familial term or a general term for a member of a Lair not a son of the lair leader. And is Gorya's father someone they may have to deal with?

Hi Christine, I think I now own all your books:) Quick question In Torpedo ink- I’m dying to know when Codes book is coming out!! What happened to Cat?? Why the radio silence from her? Did she get caught by the Ghost’s? Is she giving Code the silent treatment? Ahhh The suspense is killing me! Lol Oh and will we ever find out who the uncatchable thief is that keeps sneaking into the torpedo ink compound to steal?

First, let me say THANK YOU for your amazing imagination and writing skills. I've enjoyed all of your series and novels. Currently I am doing a re-read of the Dark Series and I am reading Dark Descent. I love rediscovering things I had forgotten over the years. I am curious though - have you ever been to the Carpathian Mountains? If so, which region?
