How did you come to begin writing Amish Romances? Where you raised Amish?

Patricia Johns No, I wasn't raised Amish, although I do have a Mennonite family background, which gave us all a great respect for Old Order Mennonites. I started writing Amish because I love the idea of writing a story within those narrow societal restrictions--a bit like historical romance that way! Small things mean so much more when you're forbidden. So I gave it a try, and ended up loving it as much as I thought I would!
