I think a lot of your books could make for excellent tv series. Have you considered taking that path with your books?
David Dalglish
I'd be more than happy for that, but it's less "have I considered it" and more "are TV execs interested?" There's a looooot of authors out there, and far more books produced yearly than the vastly fewer tv series. When I first signed with Orbit, there was some interest in the Shadowdance Series, and we did have an agent pitch it, but it never managed any momentum sadly. Odds are, unless I have a series hit the mega-star levels of sales, it likely won't happen.

Recently I've been reading your Shadowdance series, A Dance of Ghosts. I'm still waiting for six to emerge. But as I read the first few I had several question. Did you ever plan for Haern to develop 'relations' with someone? Like why not put him with Zusa? And why does it seem like Zusa is Bi? Does she like like Alyssa? Oh and (possible spoiler) ever gonna give Zusa an actual mate?

Hello David, i just recently finished 'The Broken Pieces' and have now finished the paladins series (best series I've read). However, once i completed the novel i was left wondering whether there was some deeper meaning to this books ending and even for the whole series that was left lurking just outside my understanding? Moreover, do you intentionally put meanings into your books or do they crop up at the end. Thanks

I have a question about Paladins (my favourite 'Dalglish' series hehe) If I remember correctly, Ashur's symbol is the golden mountain, but how exactly does Karak's symbol look like? I'm creating a 'Dark Paladin' by the name of Darius (wink wink) and it would be nice to know how to describe it to others :)
