Hi Mr. Sullivan! Really enjoyed reading who influenced you as a writer. Can you provide any recommendations for people of color in the genre? Are there any that have influenced or continue influencing your writing now? FYI I am a white person looking to read more diverse voices in the field, and would love to learn who my favourite authors read. Thanks so much!

Hey Douglas, I'm not as "well-versed" in the fantasy genre as most of my readers are, but I do have some recommendations for you: Octavia Butler, N.K. Jemisin, Sofia Samatar, Evan Winter, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Marlon James.
I'll also highly recommend Shantram by Gregory David Roberts. He's not a PoC, (he's a white man from Australia), nor his book a fantasy, but he wrote a fabulous novel about his time on the run in India, which is well worth a read to get an excellent immersion into the society he became a part of.

Hey Michael! I have seen a new book title "Drumindor" is it finished and coming out soon? that is so exciting! of course "Age of Legend" is coming out so I have that to look forward to. I also wanted to say thanks! for what must be the tenth time, I have got my short story called "A House Out of Time" published and I do not imagine that would have happened without you taking the time to give me some golden advice.

I cannot tell you how much I love Riyria! (Chronicles and Revelations). I discovered them -Aug 2018 - I read them in publishing order. I just finished them again this Oct and am into the Chronicles for the 2nd time today. It is just enough time between that I remember enough to stay with it and still be surprised and overwhelmed.Your books have so much emotion in them! I waver from Royce to Hadrian but go with H?
