How were the legends of the spider spire started if no one has ever seen it? Presumably, some climber found an odd spire somewhere and told people about it, but if that is the case why is it not a landmark that has been explored?
Andrew Rowe
The spires are all discussed in the sacred scriptures, and beyond that, the visages talk about them directly to their followers.
Beyond that, it's not that no one has ever seen it, necessarily - it's that there is no commonly agreed upon location. There are plenty of stories about it being in specific places - some claim it's the spire in the center of the Unclaimed Lands. Others believe it's in the Lavian Archipelago. Some people believe it's on the island of Erawen.
Some stories imply it was out in the open at some point in history, but was hidden as a result of human hubris. Others claim that plenty of people have found it; they simply lose their memories of it, similar to going through a Judgment.

Hey Andrew, love your work, just went thru Arcane Ascension 1, 2, and 2.5. Now that I have read AA 2.5/Weapons and Wielders 1, I'm wondering if the Fire Temple in the Final Exam of AA 2 was the actual Fire Temple. If so, will the crew be returning to ask for their boons?

Hi Andrew so I was scrolling down the comments and when someone asked you what attunement you would choose you said that if it was possible an ascended attunement because of reasons that would be too much of a spoil... In what AA book do you think we will know these reasons? Also what would be the ascended version of the Controller attunement just out of curiosity. Thank you and have a nice day :D

Having a cold so started listening to Forging Divinity on Audible. Liking it so far, especially the magic system and the characters. Will write a review of it in swedish on my blog when I've finished it, as well as in english here on Goodreads. How many years have you been working on the books?
