I read your books(Opium and Absinthe, A Beautiful Poison, and The Impossible Girl out of order but noticed the Cutter family ties throughout. Do you have more information about how the generations of this family tie together? I thought the connections between generations was so interesting!

Lydia Kang I'm glad you picked up on the Cutter family thread! (more to come on that in the next book, which hasn't been announced yet.)

I really enjoyed linking these stories from people and how they interweave into each other's lives. One worry about Opium and Absinthe was that if you read A Beautiful Poison first, you'd already know how the book might end!

As a "dedicated Info Junkie" I enjoyed each page of your nonfiction "Quackery" IMMENSELY! There isn't a prolific selection for such a topic; I feel it may be due to a general lack of audience. #My3LbOpinion I feel they've been deprived of an Author like you who also happens to hold an M.D.-(&for me this is a deciding factor for any exploration into my more medicalized reading.) I have read many of your books now, spending my time reading whilst Vic, AU was in stage 4 lockdown for three months. You helped me get through the pandemic! My question is quite personal and I know it’s been a horrible year in the US, as well as the rest of us. Do you believe that the current trend to demonise opiates has parallels with attitudes to alcohol abuse which led to Prohibition and immense repercussions?
