Just finished Tyrant's Throne and have had a great time with the Greatcoat series! I've been curious for a while and wonder if you'd be willing to share with us all the King's Laws? We get a few of them throughout the series, but I don't believe we've ever got them all! If you aren't willing to give us all of them yet, could you at least tell us as many as you are able that haven't already been mentioned in the books?
Sebastien de Castell
Alas, I can't share the King's Laws yet. They're likely to be the subject of a Greatcoats book in the not too distant future and may contain within them a bit of a puzzling mystery for our benighted Greatcoats.

Hi Sebastien, I have noticed you have read and reviewed a couple of books on writing. Do you ever feel that thinking about the craft "too much" negatively affects the way you read or write? For example, not being able to fully enjoy what you are reading by disecting it too much?

I just wanted to say that I absolutely love the Spellslinger series, and want to thank you for giving us Ferius Parfax. She has shot up into my top three female characters of all time (sitting with Hermione Granger, and Alice from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, so she's in great company). I am hoping that my protagonist becomes as well loved. Do you have any advice for creating an endearing, complex character?

It was indeed the latter. I've read lots of good things about the series. I like fantasy-adventure. While I prefer female protagonists, I can enjoy books with male leads as well, though I like them to have active, capable female friends and allies. Based on what I'd read, this series has them, but I did read a Spoiler that gave me some pause about starting it.
