I just finished binging the Whidbey Island saga books and glad to read there will be book 5. Already pre-ordered Inspector Lynley 21, so understand we will have to wait to read what happens on Whidbey in the sequal. Hope all goes well with the writing process. Should you have an idea about the timeline, I (and probably all the fans) would be interested. Have you already started?

The final Whidbey Island novel is finished, but we've not yet found a publisher for it because I've revised the first four Whidbey Island novels and I want to publish them as a group on one every six months. So far no one wants to do that even with revised books. So I might have to do eBooks for all of them. That's where things stand right now.

I found my first Lynley book in the crew mini library, about 15 years ago, while working on cruise ships. I became a fan right away, and in the next few years I read all your other books. Trying to understand how John Fowles influenced you, I recently read "The Collector", and, as I arrived to the chilling end, I thought a sequel written by you would be amazing. Have you ever considered something like that?

Having an extended series of novels with a recurring cast must be a challenge. Knowing what details and descriptions to reiterate, what to leave out; which character to bring forward or drop back - or even take out forever. It’s something I’m facing with a sequel to my first novel. How are you making that decision with each new Inspector Lynley mystery?
