(view spoiler)[Just finished before we were yours. I’m wondering, when May was shown the pic she said Judy would get worried about them coming around Trent sr. But she didn’t need to worry because he loved her so much. I thought she married a senator so I was confused. Also, were the documents in the envelope possibly regarding the twin brother? Lastly, did I miss it or did we not get info on how they reunite with Lark? (hide spoiler)]

Thanks for reading and for the questions. Yes, we'd assume that Trent Sr. and his research led to reunions among the sisters, including with Lark. May and Fern were adopted together, so they would have been together all along, of course. The envelope was indeed the lost twin brother, who is never found by the family (a reflection of so many real-life TCHS families who have to live with only partial answers to their questions). Judy's concern about Trent Sr. and his research would have had to do with her, and the sisters' decision to keep their history secret from future generations. I very much enjoyed your book "The Book of Lost Friends". Your portrayal of the tearing apart of slave families is heart-wrenching. But Hannie is so strong and kind. I also lost of piece of my heart for the teenagers in Augustine, Louisiana. To have it be a mystery on top of everything else was perfection!! Have you traveled to Louisiana?
