What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Cate Tayler Family gossip says my great-grandfather (grandma's dad) killed his first wife (grandma's mom) by pushing her down the stairs. The official story is that she tripped and fell, but my grandmother always believed he killed her. He wasn't a nice man, apparently. It'd be interesting to explore a story of a woman diving into her family's dark secrets and perhaps parallel her own life in some way. Of course, it'd have to be romantic suspense because I need happy endings!
