Hello! I've noticed many in your fanbase refer to you as 'Uncle Rick'. How do you feel about getting that title?

Rick Riordan It wasn't my idea, for sure. I think it started in Brazil with 'Tio Rick' many years ago. I know it is meant to be an affectionate nickname, and I appreciate that, but the older I get, the stranger it feels to be called somebody's 'uncle,' so it's not a term you'll hear me using myself. It is nice that readers feel like they know me and welcome me as part of their family, however.
