Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Srinidhi.R Let me tell you about an interesting incident. A few months back, I had a dream. In the dream, I was a young boy and I was standing alone in a rain forest. It was evening and it was raining very heavily. I was standing and watching the rain for a long time, having taken shelter under the shade of a tree. I continued to watch the rain and after some time, it stopped raining. I then saw the sun slowly appearing in the sky. Then I saw something
wonderful that I had never seen in my life. I saw a beautiful rainbow that was forming in the sky. I stood speechless and I looked at the formation of the rainbow in astonishment. In the morning, I got up and I still remembered my dream clearly. I quickly jotted down a few lines in my notebook.

I later worked on those lines, building them into a poetic story. I imagined myself as the little boy from the dream who saw the wonderful rainbow. I put myself in the place of the character of the boy and imagined what the little boy would have thought when he saw the rainbow in the sky. Perhaps, it was his childhood dream to see a rainbow! Perhaps, that’s what he was waiting for all the time! Longing for his rainbow dream to get realised!
