I have so many questions! But I would love to know where the concept of the series came from or what inspired the Empire of the Wolf?

Richard Swan Hi Rachel - if you look in the acknowledgements section in the back of Trials I speak about this at length; in essence, a multitude of things (as is always the case) - some direct inspirations like Robert Harris' Cicero trilogy, Eisenhorn / Ravenor trilogies by Dan Abnett, Shardlake by CJ Sansom, the Witcher video games, real life history (Carolingian / Holy Roman Empires, the Roman Empire, medieval England, the Crusades), the artworks on Hell of Wayne Barlowe, and a million other things large and small which I couldn't possibly hope to list!

Hello Mr. Swan, After listening to your Empire of the Wolf trilogy which I loved. I said to myself what else has Ricard Swan published and came across your Art of War Trilogy, & immediately purchased Book 1, " Reclamation. My my my, What an amazing Sci Fi story it is. I finished it and have now bought Book 2 and 3 and can't wait to get into them. What is your favorite genre, Sci Fi or Fantasy?
