✸ jax asked Hayden Casey:

hey! first reviewer of a harvest of furies here—said this in my reply to you already, but just wanted to reiterate that it was such an interesting debut novel and you have a really great literary voice! do you plan on doing more mythology adaptations in your future work? also, what do you think your favorite bit of writing/characterization was that you put in a harvest of furies?

Hayden Casey thank you so much, jax!! I love working with Greek mythology/tragedy, and I definitely feel like I'll make my way back there someday—I've recently been thinking a lot about how Antigone might make its way into this moment. but I've got a couple other projects to finish up first!
my favorite passage in the book I think is on page 29—there's one very long sentence I love to bits—and characterization-wise, I had a really fun time bouncing between perspectives and keeping the emotional dynamics of the house varied and playful!
