I think you said somewhere that the least liked character by your fans was Zita from Nicky. I was so surprised because she is absolutely my favorite FMC of yours. I understood Zita's struggles 100%. How were you able to write Zita's personal struggles so well, esp with food? Did you research EDs? Your insights were spot on (my fave: a young girl is taught food=love but as she grows she is taught that food=enemy).

(view spoiler)[I'm so happy to hear some love for Zita! I wrote her from experience, not with orthorexia, but with another ED. A thought I've had---and a conversation I've had a few times with readers---is that her thoughts around food are probably familiar to the majority of women raised in diet culture. The incessant counting, the restriction, the inevitable loss of control, the shame, the self flaggelation, the "earning" food with exercise, the hiding, the fraught nature of eating in front of others...I don't know any women who wouldn't recognize the behavior. Now do they want to read it in their romance... Anyway, thanks for reading! Stay tuned for news on the Underboss Insurrection front coming soon. (hide spoiler)]

Hi Cate! I recently just finished reading Return to Monte Carlo. It was well written, and while I wasn't taken with the star couple as I have in your other works, I enjoyed it nonetheless. I would like to know, however, why did you decide to include a CNC kink? It was my first time coming across this, so it was a bit difficult to read. I merely ask this out of curiousity, so you dont have to answer if you dont want to
