How long does it take you to write one of your novels? How many hours a day do you write? (by the way, love your books!).

Jeff, thanks! It really depends. It took me three years to write my first book, but a big chunk of that was research and another big chunk of that was rewriting. Every book presents challenges of its own, and I feel I learn new things about writing with every book, but some things do get easier with practice. So at this point I'd say it takes me 6-8 months to complete a draft, and then another 3-4 months to revise it. I work a regular business day, more or less, starting very early in the morning. I'll start around 7:30 in the morning, write until about midday, have lunch and/or go to the gym, and then spend the afternoon planning the next day's writing. Toward the end of a book, I may keep writing into the night, or get up VERY early to keep writing -- the book takes on a momentum of its own.

Joe, Here comes my Ask-the-author-question for you. When an author is working on a story every day I guess they’re bound to start dreaming about their characters and plotlines at some point. I recently read an article about how some authors use their nightly dreams to improve upon their projects. Have you ever made changes to a character or a plot following a dream you had? Best, AJ

Hey, Just finished switched. There are two disconcerting errors. Not sure they matter?
1). You have tanner going through the xray at the airport with his watch on. He checks it before and after--- taken to secondary.
2). I think in chapter 61 you have him buying clothes at walmart, he has just over 100 left. He spends 100 at hw store, then he buys several burner phones. Math doesn't work
