Writer's block is a serious condition. Some don't believe it exists at all, but I've known a few writers who went through it and attest that it does. I've never suffered from it in a serious way, but sometimes I look at the page and just feel pure despair. This happens often enough, but it doesn't lead to me not writing. It leads to me either trying another way into the story, or throwing it away and starting fresh. There's something liberating about throwing away a manuscript, even if you've spent a year or so on it, and beginning with the blank page. I love the blank page, because anything is possible.

Hi Olen, Milo Weaver is a fantastic character, and I love reading about him. I find most of the flawed characters are generally the best. Please don't kill him off in one of your books. I have always wondered if Authors carry around a pen and paper in case you come up with an idea for your books? Thank you for writing such great books and entertaining us. Thanks Todd

Follow up question. I'm a naive romantic about characters I connect with, and probably missed the point of the conclusion. If Cee did not get "popped", went home to cardboard hubby who has a fatal MCI, she gets pulled back into the world and meets up with Milo down the road, that would be an amazing interplay between two brilliant, creative, chararcters, but that's probably why you write for a living and I don't?

I've commented before that your books, especially those featuring Milo Weaver, rise to the top of my reading list because of their feints and flourishes; the way you play around by twisting time. Seems you want your readers to think and think hard to solve the puzzles your stories construct. My question is, how do you react to being labeled a master of misdirection?
