How do you think being a writer changes your view of the world?

Gail Carson Levine My thinking has become more complex. I'm much slower to rush to judgment.

I loved your books when I was younger (and still do now!)! I wanted to thank you for writing your books; they, along with other wonderful books by other wonderful authors, really encouraged me to pursue my passion for writing, even if not as a "successful" career (to me, novel-writing, regardless of public opinion, is success). Many thanks from the girl who used to read in class!! Any advice for potential writers?
