J. Swift
J. Swift asked Brandon Shire:

I'm impressed at how prolific you are. You have a body of work to be proud of. How long did it take you to develop your style, and after you achieved your obvious command of language, did you go back and rewrite all that you'd written to that point?

Brandon Shire Thanks for the question.

I've been writing for about 20 years, but never published until a few years ago and have lots of unpublished work. I look at some of the older stuff now and cringe. So yes, if I bring an older story to public life then I usually do a heavy rewrite. Or, toss it in the trash. :)

My style... I think, as with most people who write, that style evolves on its own. My varying interests in all forms and genres of books/literature has also had a great influence when trying to strike a certain tone within a book.
