How do you deal with writer’s block?

Steve Piacente My favorite way of dealing with writer's block is to call time out, pick a character, and conduct an interview, allowing the character to answer in his or her voice. This tactic has worked time and again, with the characters often surprising me with their answers. The trick is to put your editorial control (as the author) aside and let the characters speak in their own voices.
