Leah Montes
Leah Montes asked Laurie Halse Anderson:

What inspired you to write Catalyst and how do you feel about it now?

Laurie Halse Anderson I wrote it because I was so angry at the pressures that teens have to deal with. I also wanted to explore the issues faced by kids from abusive families who become targets for bullies (Teri) and a teen who looks like she has the perfect life (Kate) but who has many struggles under the surface.

If I had the chance to write it again, I'd tell it from two POVS, so we'd see the world through Teri's eyes as well as Kate's.

What do you think about it?
