Hi Tim. Thanks for your note! I really enjoyed your book. It was quite the one-two punch as I had just wrapped up another cool book ("Send More Idiots") and that author sent me a note, too! If goodreads keeps putting me in touch with the folks who actually write the books, I'm gonna be spending all day on this site! Do you have a new one in the works? Will McNutt

Dear Will - some of us in the author tribe really appreciate readers who give feedback. It can be bruising on occasion but honest criticism is the only criticism worth anything so to have a complete stranger assess your work on GoodReads, say, is a tonic. It's not quite got the same objective value if your friends/family/acquaintances give their feedback - it cannot be anything but slightly touched.
I guess in the old days a letter via the publisher from the reader could eventually get through but good old Tim Berners-Lee et al changed that radically with www. I often receive messages/emails/notes/ratings via Facebook, GoodReads and other formats, connecting me readers instantly around the globe.
I'll leave you in peace now. But to answer your question, after Blood River I have published two works of history-travel-adventure non-fiction: Chasing the Devil and The Trigger.
And I am currently working on something even more ambitious. Details to come out soon.

Tim: Just for you information. Chasing The Devil Kindle has not been available here in the US for at least 5 years I have been searching for it that long. Could it be that Amazon Kindle messed up by offering the Chasing The Devil by Sheriff Reichert and mistakenly took yours off as a duplicate? Think how many sales you have missed by this mistake. Thousands.

I did enjoy both your Africa books. I've always wanted to go to the Congo. Tell a lie I spent five minutes standing in a field in eastern Congo just over the border and a short bicycle ride away from Arua. I alwys travel light and I was wondering if you were to travel of the beaten track in Congo would you lug around a laptop again or just put a Black and Red notebook and biro in your back pocket?
