I've read your book Fever and Prom and I loved them! How do you come up with the ideas for your stories and the characters?

Laurie Halse Anderson I tend to write about things that confuse or intrigue me, things that I want to learn more about. The characters.... to be honest, I'm not sure where they come from. My imagination is a dark and mysterious place!
