I keep working, Cynthia. I mean, I might take a break and go to the fridge and eat some cheese for a while, but mostly, I keep working. The only way out, usually, is THROUGH. I will set the kitchen timer for 20 more minutes, and promise myself, "After 20 minutes, you can quit for the day." But I never quit when the impulse to quit first arrises. Also, who gets to decide that the work isn't going "well"? I learned long ago that a "bad" day of writing is still a good day. You have to write through the bad part to get to the good part. As the great reporter David Carr says, "Keep typing till it becomes writing."

How is book equal with the reality of modern women with the carrier and "perfect marriage"? Is it possible to leave everything you know behind and go and search your inner soul somewhere far away? Isn't it selfish? Or it is challenge when you start to collect peaces of your destiny no matter where it leads you?

I am a recent journalism grad. I'm having a hard time finding work as a writer -- my problem is lack of confidence. There are times where everything aligns and writing feels euphoric and then there are times I feel like I'm fighting a hopeless battle with my own creativity. Have you every felt this way? If yes, how have you overcome these overwhelming feelings?Thank you for your light, Elizabeth.
