I don't have a question, i just wanted to tell you how much i am enjoying the Riyria Chronicles. Good work and thank you?
Michael J. Sullivan
Hey James,
Thanks of much for taking the time to say so. I've really enjoyed writing the stories with Royce and Hadrian...and the reviews for the latest version (The Death of Dulgath) are coming in very positively. This does give me an opportunity to give a bit of an update on that book:
* ebooks - have been sent out to beta readers, those who backed the Kickstarter, and everyone who has ordered the ebook on my site. They are also available on all the various on-line retailers such as Amazon, iBookstore, Nook, and Kobo.
* print books - are in production and they'll ship from the printer in Wisconsin on November 17th. They go on sale officially December 1st.
* audio books - will start recording November 16th. I'm going to New York to be in studio with Tim Gerard Reynolds for the first few days of recording. Release date for it is scheduled for December 15th.
Thanks again James for writing to tell me you enjoyed the books.

Dear Sullivan, you are an inspiration for new authors like us. I've published my novel, "The Chronicles Of Undiscovered Worlds Under The Sea" back in 2019 but I have pretty less idea how to take it to the world stage. You response is of great value for me. My question is how can I help my little creation to travel more?

Hey, Michael! I have some ideas for writing, but can’t figure out how to get started. Friends tell me that I should just "start writing" and worry about cleaning it up in re-writes. I have read about other methods, like the "snowflake" method, that require meticulous planning before writing word one. How would you suggest getting the process started? Thanks, Michael

Is the planning stage of writing the most challenging? Or is trying to get the ideas into a fully formed story more difficult? I imagine the planning for the Cycle series must be a huge task!! Thank you so much for your work - I'm new to your books and already love them so much! I'm so glad my friend recommended them. And I don't think I could ever get bored of Royce and Hadrian! Thanks again :)
