Do you listen to music when you write or to get inspiration? What is your favorite?

Morgan Rhodes I actually like complete silence when I'm writing since I'm very easily distracted and tend to wander off frequently in all directions during the day. ;) I even have sound canceling headphones to help. However, I do like to listen to inspiring music when I'm not writing, while in my car, etc. For writing Falling Kingdoms, I especially like "Two Steps from Hell," composers who create that epic music that you hear in movie trailers and it helps me to visualize a lot of scenes with that playing in the background. :)

When I start to write a short story or a novel, I usually lose interest halfway through. Do you have any ideas on how to keep my interest on that story? And when you write do you have a outline as you go or do you just write as you go along?
