Laurie, I just got done reading Wintergirls. And I know that I am supposed to ask you a question, but I have been battling for eight years now with anorexia nervosa and bulimia. And reading your book has made me feel not so alone. Battling eating disorders is one of the hardest things to battle....I thank you so very much for writing this book. Would you ever write another book pertaining to this topic?

Laurie Halse Anderson You have all of my respect, support, and love. I know how devastating eating disorders are, and how much courage and strength it takes to cope with them. I hope you are surrounded by people who can help you.

I never say "never" about stories, because if they want to be written, they will show up in my head and put me to work. I can say that as of this moment, I don't have any plans to do so. But the door is always open!

Within the research paper, My teacher wants be to find the meaning and/or reason that you choose the title of the book, Twisted. I wanted to know why did you title the book Twisted?
