When The Enemies of Versailles coming out? Goodreads says the book will come out in September 2016, but if I go on amazon, they say the book will come out in July 2017 Also, any chance you can do a trilogy or something about the Sun King, Louis XIV? I don't know French history that well, but I know that Alexandre Dumas isn't a fun read if you want to learn about Louis XIV. Thanks!

The pub date for The Enemies of Versailles should be finalized in a few weeks, most probably spring 2017.
Louis XIV is a fascinating man (though personally I like my Louis XV best, despite his shortcomings!) and the women in his life were equally interesting. The great Sandra Gulland has written two books about Louis XIV's first two mistresses: Mistress of the Sun and The Shadow Queen. I haven't read them yet but if they are anything like her Josephine trilogy, they'll be great reads!

During research for the Versailles trilogy, did you come across any English language biographies of Louis XV? I'm struggling to find anything in English outside Olivier Bernier's very dated one. I have several books that include him in the historiographic perspective, but none besides Bernier's that actually center on him. Thanks!
