Sharon Emmerichs
Sharon Emmerichs asked Jasper Fforde:

Hello! English professor and novelist here, specializing in all things Shakespeare. When is Thursday--or Jack, for that matter--going to pair up with a kickass Shakespeare female partner, like Portia or Beatrice? These women must get so bored with caskets, parties, battles of wits, and trials that strip a man of his very identity. Surely a bit of detective work would be just the thing for them?

Jasper Fforde I introduced Beatrice and Benedict as Jurisfiction agents in one of my Thursday books - they are tasked with dealing with problems with the plays, so long as they can stop bickering. Falstaff appears in Thursday's world, too, usually making bawdy remarks that includes flagstaffs and the suchlike.

There is always a possibility to expand upon these, but perhaps as a short story. If you want to see the best Beatrice and Benedict, go no further than Emma Thompson and Kenneth Brannagh. One wonders if they did it for real when they (sadly) broke up.
