Make the decision, and just write and write. I was a teacher, and I knew i needed some guidance on my content. I then found an amazing person in Tanis, simply on line, when I finished the first part of the book I employed her to look at content for feed back only. I continued to write the middle, then the end. Tanis was great and kept telling me, keep writing finish the book. don't look back. You really need someone who does not know you to be there for you, especially with a first novel.

Your mother, Mantua, was the love child of Edina and Bill but never knew. She always thought that Charles was her father. If you had been able to tell her, do you think that she would have tried to contact Bill and/or his family or would she “let sleeping dogs lie’? What would your grandparents reaction have been?
