Hi, Michael! I have seen that most of your books are in paperback, ebook, and audio but that is not the formats I prefer. So I was wondering if your Riyria series will be released in hardcover anytime in the future?? Also, I am stoked for your First Empire series to come out (already pre-ordered) and they are in hardcover which is a plus for me!!!

Hey Travis, thanks for asking. So here's the skinny on hardcovers. Orbit (who is the publisher of: Theft of Swords | Rise of Empire | Heir of Novron | The Crown Tower | The Rose and the Thorn) only released these books through trade paperback format. When I started writing my new series, The Legends of the First Empire, I had one main goal - to have the books released in hardcovers. Orbit didn't think it made sense to move me from paperback to hardcover and that is why the new books are now with Del Rey (who DID think hardcovers were right for me). So Age of Myth (and the books coming after -which are already written) WILL be in hardcover.
Now, I recently released a third Riyria Chronicle (The Death of Dulgath) and as I was the publisher I was able (thanks to help from my Kickstarter backers) to put that out in a hardcover edition. So there is hardcovers of book #3 currently (and the trade paperback edition of that book will probably start shipping toward Sep or Oct of this year).
Now, Orbit did sell the "book club" right to the Riyria books - so there WERE some hardcovers that they put out for: Theft of Swords | Rise of Empire | Heir of Novron | Blood of Thieves (which is an omnibus of The Crown Tower and The Rose and the Thorn). But those are long sold out, and aren't the best in terms of quality.
Anyway...I've been in negotiation with Orbit so I could get permission to produce my own LIMITED EDITION hardcover editions and they have agreed! We are still working out the final details, but once that is done, we'll post a Kickstarter and have them produced. If you want to be notified about those books here is a link you can use to sign-up..
I know that is a really long answer to a relatively short answer, but when dealing with publishers who own the rights and decide what formats the books will and will not come out in, it gets a little tricky.

Hi Michael. My question is, will there ever be a continuation of Raithe and Persephone's relationship? I know you stated that it was never your intention to make them the center plot point. I'm sure I speak for many of your fans when we say we were enamored and truly engrossed in their love. I know I came close to tears a few times. Would you ever consider a short story or novella?

Has anyone mentioned that there is a small "glitch" in the downloadable version of Age of War? I can't pinpoint exactly where in the recording it is, but at one point in the story a voice comes in and says "End of Disc 10". (At least, I'm pretty sure that's the one - I didn't bookmark it to go back and find it again.) That would make sense on the CD's but it is pretty jarring and unnecessary on the download.

Hi Michael. This may be too spoilery to answer (if so, no worries at all!), but I was wondering how much time will have passed between the end of revelations and the start of the cycle? Thanks so much! And thanks again for your writing - I'm currently reading chronicles and I love them so much, it's so fun to see early days Royce and Hadrian and i love seeing more of Gwen!
