You write children so well. Just unbelievably sweet and with such kindness and spot on moodiness! I don't mean to be nosey but do you have children yourself? Please forgive my enquiry but your logic in the way you write about your younger characters are tips that I've passed to my own children!! Just to say you are my very favourite author.

I don't have any of my own but I'm a keen observer! I also have much younger siblings (who are adults now, but I still call them "the kids," ha!), nieces, friends with kids, and I dig spending time with them. Watching personalities form. All the wondrous surprises they offer with the way they look at the world and how they start so early becoming the people they're going to be with the things that catch their interest.

I'm glad you enjoy the kids in my books. They feel like MY kids...so that means a lot!

When you re-read your books to prepare writing the next in that series how does that feel? Obviously you would be your worst critic but since you have rabid fans awaiting your next greatest are you not self conscious about what you wrote, and just get lost in the world (like us) as if you were reading something by someone else, is it weird, or just feels like home?
