wondered about Diana's languages- when she is with Philippe, he says they have been conversing in fluent french and latin all morning and she hasn't noticed. is this part of her magic?

Deborah Harkness no, that's part of her scholarship! As a historian, she has to have some familiarity with many languages. However, since our research subjects are dead, we don't often have to have conversations with them. So her speaking skills were a bit rusty.
