I recently read Traitor's Blade and Knight's Shadow. I am starting Saint's Blood today. I would love to hear these books in audio. Is that a future possibility? If it happens and you have a say in the narrator, please consider Alex Wyndham. He was new to me when I heard him narrate a book, and I loved his narration. He is excellent with voices and portraying the individuality of the characters and their emotions.

Hi Beverly,
Alas, audiobook rights for The Greatcoats rest with my publisher. They have said that they're keen to hear from folks who'd like an audiobook version, so give them a stern talking to at www.jofletcherbooks.com!
Haven't heard Alex Wyndham's narration but I'll look up some of his work on Audible and have a listen!
Regards,
Sebastien

Greatcoats mean so much to me. My whole youth I was very ill and thus alone with a lot of nasty experiences so characters who manage to remain idealistic and friends are so inspiring and uplifting. Despite being a grown woman I wept in many scenes. I can't read on my own anymore but my mom is reading it to me again and loves it too. Q: Your site mentions "upcoming Greatcoats Encyclopedia". Is that still in the works?

I really enjoyed the first two books and I am eagerly awaiting the third one. My one main issue with Knight's Shadow is how the rape of Falcio's wife is used as motivation for his character (such an overused fantasy trope) and graphic nature of the sexual violence in the book (more than the first). Has Falcio really put the past behind him and will future installments continue to dwell on this sexual violence?

What Genre would you consider "The Greatcoats" to be? Or well maybe should I say sub-genre (for example Grimdark etc) I have read quite a few books after finishing the Greatcoats saga, but I haven't found a series like this. Its really hard to explain but this series in general had a very special feel to it. Hope triumphing over despair?
