Have you ever considered having LGBT characters? Your books, especially Ella Enchanted, have been important to me since childhood. It would mean so much to me to really see myself in them!

Gail Carson Levine I have considered it. There's detective dragon Masteress Meenore in my two mystery novels (A TALE OF TWO CASTLES and STOLEN MAGIC), who never reveals ITs gender and acts in a way that suggests IT could be either one. I'm also thinking about working an LGBT hint into the novel I'm writing now, which I'm calling OGRE ENCHANTED. If I can find a way, I think it will be just a hint, because this one is based on a traditional, little known gender-reversed version of "Beauty and the Beast." After that, who knows?

I was sucked in by your world building, and you are one of the authors that has inspired me to write my own fantasy.
