How did you approach research for the book? Did you speak to anyone who was a survivor of domestic abuse?

B.A. Paris I used mainly the internet for research purposes but after the book was published I was contacted by several survivors of domestic abuse who said that Behind Closed Doors could have been their story. It was great to know that I'd got it right.
