So how did you come to be a published author? Baby steps? Or did a school paper just bloom a book?

Kellyn Roth I've been writing for a very long time, and I got into NaNoWriMo and finally wrote something I thought would be worthwhile ... so I published it. I'm really more of a doer than a thinker ... which shows up in the typos of the originally-published draft (it's been edited pretty thoroughly since then).
