What were some of your inspirations for the story?
What made you chose a blind protagonist?

message 3: by Casey (new)

Casey | 654 comments I would like to know:

* What do you feel is the absolute best medium for storytelling? Is it via film, comic books, games, or something else? And no fair saying it is relative to the story being told. Pick a platform of story and tell me why it is the best. – Do it, do it now! Tell me! Say it say it say it!

* What would you most like to be known for? A film that will go down in history, a novel that will be studied and enjoyed for the next hundred years, a video game that changes the world? If you had to pick one outlet to find the quintessential success, what would it be?

* Does music play any role in your writing process?

message 8: by Josh (new)

Josh | 10 comments In general I am a big fan of post apocalyptic fiction and I love the setting for The Book of Eli. From your writing credits I would assume you are a fan of post apocalyptic fiction too. I would like to know what are your favorite books or movies in the genre and if any inspired you in writing The Book of Eli?

message 10: by Skip (last edited Aug 28, 2012 11:01AM) (new)

Skip | 517 comments I enjoyed your podcast "Game Theory", any chance of hearing it again?

How different is your process when you write a screenplay like "After Earth", versus a game like "Walking Dead", versus a piece of criticism? Do you approach them all in the same way organizationally or do you treat each type of writing differently?

Also, congratulations on the baby!
