We are not allowed to use book data from booksellers irrespective of their own rules. At least this is my understanding from what rivka has said.
People in various threads have requested permission from sites to use cover images, been granted, and had them used. If permission is granted, why would it be an issue?

Can you imagine a lawsuit on this, and trying to find the thread where someone got permission from the bookseller, then trying to get a copy of the message/email where permission was granted? I'd never be able to find it.
Moot point right now. Found the image on a library site and uploaded.

Hi everyone,will it be also ok when I ask the publisher? There are a lot of books from Deadsoft that have no cover uploaded. The covers are also on the hompage!

We can take the images from the publisher, no problem. Just leave a link to the proper cover, and the book link.

So, I do have the permission of a employee from deadsoft (Frau Hanke) to download the covers. The email is naturally in german. If you need the email I will send it to you. I hope someone working with you can translate it. My english isn't good enough.
Frau Hankes only politely demands please not to make a link with the URL because it will slow down their server. So please only download the image and add it (many thanks from Frau Hanke :-)) ).
They were done hours ago, Kerstin. And covers are all uploaded directly to the site, there is no linking involved.
