I have a few books on my TBR that has 0 ratings.
I'm assuming that a book has to have at least 1 rating to be part of the "bottom 10 rated books".
And, amongst my top 10 books, I have
Without a Summer by Mary Robinette Kowal .... which won't be published until April 2013!
I'd suggest a modification to the task: the books (1) must be published on or before February 28, 2013; and (2) must have at least (5) ratings; and that books that don't meet those two requirements can be discarded from "top 10" or "bottom 10" lists, and the next books in the lists inserted instead.

**NEVERMIND - BY THE TIME I ELIMINATED ALL OF THE SERIES BOOKS THAT HAVEN'T BEEN PUBLISHED YET, I HAD SEVERAL CHOICES.

There might be places to fit the other books in the series, though. With only ten tasks posted, there's still plenty of other places we'll see.
As for me, I just wish more of my bottom-rated books were ones I owned lol

Highest rating: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - J.K. Rowling
Lowest rating: Sweet Valley Confidential: Ten Years Later - Francine Pascal

Hey Bea -- I was suggesting that she alter the task -- she has NOT altered the task yet, so don't be so quick to discard your planned book :0)

Hey Bea -- I was suggesting that she ..."
No problem...if she changes the task, I will just need to try to fit it into another one. But I did like the fact that I had this one planned. (I am having a more difficult time finding books for Winter SRC.)

Kathy, for me only 3 of my lowest rating books were 0.0. So I had 7 others to choose from.

Also, since the point of the task is to read 1 book that people LOVE and another that people seem to HATE, ignore any books with an average rating of 0.00.
I think that covers it, but let me know if I missed some key point. ;-)

Sure. The task description says: If you have more than one TBR list, choose one list and read both books from that list. So you're good with the "ASAP to be read" list.

Sort you Goodreads TBR list by average rating. Read one book from the 10 highest rated books on your shelf AND one book from the 10 lowest rated books. If you have more than one TBR list on GRs, choose one list and read both books from that list. If you do not keep a TBR list on GRs, make a list of 20 books, look up their ratings, put them in order from highest to lowest and use that list to choose your books. Any books that have not yet been published or books with an average rating of 0.00 should be ignored.
