Challenge: 50 Books discussion

hi i recently found good reads by accident. i'm sure glad i did.

wondered if any of you are members of any other similar sites.

I'm also a member of LibraryThing,it's also a book site but it's more about cataloging what you actually own, not sharing info about what you've read whether you own it or not. It's still interesting, though.

I too have a list on librarything. I started out there because I hadn't heard about goodreads yet. I keep a list here too because this is where the fellow readers among my family and friends hang out.

Don't you have to pay to use LibraryThing? If so is it worth paying for?

I had a list on bookmovement. For whatever reason, I can't seem to log back in. I really like goodreads though. I think it is much better than bookmovement.

You can list, or "catalog" I think 200 books for free. After that you have to upgrade to a paid account. I can't remember how much it is, but I don't think it's very much.

Hmm...Well, I'm a member of AllConsuming (it's related to 43things if you know what that is), but I haven't gotten on since I joined here. There you can catalogue things like movies and music as well as books, but as far as books are concerned this is a better site I think.

The All Consuming site is so much fun. I was addicted to it when I first found it. I love all the different award book lists as well as all the movie lists etc.

I do the List of Bests that is related to 43 things. I just do the book lists but I don't go there often since I don't tend to get to too many of those award books. I belong to bookmovement, librarything,shelfari, facebook and numerous online book discussion groups. My closest group of friends is on here though so I tend to be on here the most.

I am also on Vox, which has a real cool 50 in 365 group. It is designed really well, but there are far more active readers here in this group.

I don't belong to another site - but do have "Visual Shelfbook" on my facebook. It's set up a lot like this site - but the only friends you can add are the friends you have on FB.
