Oooh what a fun gizmo!

I stuck about 6 authors in and kept coming up with authors who I'd already read or who I have no intention of ever reading... :) Anyway, I found one with an author I want to read, that I haven't read and who is on the database! Don't mind though because that map thing is hypnotic and FUN!

Looks really fun, Sandra. I'll see if I can join. Thinking about putting my house on the market in the Spring and, for some reason, this is affecting my focus on reading (except magazines).

After all that work on the kitchen? Don't envy you the packing & going through stuff part :)

Actually, I didn't unpack some of the things. And I've been going through stuff for months. Ugh!

Living room is completely empty now. Master bedroom only had bed, dresser, and two side tables. Oh, and huge empty **sniffle** set of three bookcases.

Actually, I should take a pic of the empty bookcases, as some people would love to fill them up...LOL!

The picture is pretty blurry, but here are my empty bookshelves. I have a few of the boxes (with the letters of the alphabet on the fronts - to sort by authors) in front... the rest are in the garage. **sigh**

This wall vaults to the upper story. I always wanted to put in rows and rows of shelves all the way up.

BTW, that fan is one my husband got years ago when he went to China on business. And he built those shelves for his office. I just had them moved. Super heavy.

I sort my books by author as well, well about once every 12 months anyway, when they get out of hand. ROFL

Unasked for advice: Don't make the house too unlived in. All the R/E shows dress the houses so people can see how they could live in them, and they all recommend storage, so dress up those shelves minimally and you'll be on a winner :D

Check out shows like House Doctor (set in UK, but host is American lady and she tells it like it is) and Property Ladder. Can you tell I'm addicted :) LOL

Those shows are hard not to watch. I love seeing how other people's houses look, and how a little paint and reorganizing can give them a different look.

That's my main attraction as well Lara, love seeing the before and after looks.

Yes, my BFF is addicted to those type shows. She is the one who suggested hardwood floors, as that is the latest trend here. You can barely see in the picture up there. I put it in throughout the house, except in the living room. Must say, I love them. Amazing how well they hold up.

Sounds like your BFF is the one to listen to then :)

I love Karen Moning, Jeaniene Frost, and Maria Snyder. I love Moning's Fever series best, although the first books sometimes doesn't appeal to some. Maria's Study series is my favorite of hers. And Jeanine. Her Night Huntress series is soooooo addictive. You have been warned. lol

I loved Moon Called and the Mercy Thompson series. Patricia Briggs is one of my favorite authors. I still have to read the novella Frost just came out with. I really liked stray although some had issues with the main character. I liked her.

Jessi, Is Deadly Sting up at Netgalley? I've started getting books sent to me so I've gotten a little sidetracked from Netgalley and Edelweiss. I love the Elemental Assassins series. Have you read the other books in the series? Woops strike that last question. I see you listed it as one of your favorites.

Lara, I loved Kiss of Midnight. I only got a few books into the series, but intend to start it up again some time. One of the many series I want to finish when I find the time.

I just finished Iced. Let me know what you think. While Dani's a teen, this one is definitely not what I'd call a Young Adult book.

Lisarenee, Glad to hear it is a good one. I thought I had it to read for a group read early this year, but then couldn't find it. It may be that I have it in a format my current ereaders don't use. Anyway, I got a reduced price copy and plan to actually get through it this time.

Well, a friend of mine thought it was too similar to the Black Dagger Brotherhood series to which I replied the Black Dagger Brotherhood had an awful lot of similarities to Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series. One of my favorite things about Lara Adrian's series is that it gives an explanation as to where the vampires came from. Let me know if you like it.

Lisarenee, since I haven't read any of those series, I should be fine. Although I do want to start Black Dagger, just to see what the fuss is about. :-)

I am looking forward to reading Iced. Danny has always been older mentally than physically because of how she had to grow up. She was ready for action in the Fever series. I assume Danny gets it in Iced.

Yes, she does.

I listened to a portion of it on audio and she sounded very Irish, but when I read the book, the way she speaks makes we envision her with an American voice. A friend mentioned to me that she felt the same way.

If you have trouble with the first book of the Fever series let me know. I created a cheat sheet for a friend of mine who would have otherwise not continued on in the story. I'm sure I can find it again.

After planning the books for the challenge, two things happened, first, after finishing Kate Daniels series, I was unable to wait 2 weeks to read Gunmetal Magic - I totally devoured the book, I liked Andrea before, now I'm totally smitten by her :o)

And, after reading Bloodfever I decided that waiting a week to now more, was too much, so I tackle Faefever 30 minutes later and if the ending didn't leave me so frustrated and angry and near an aneurysm I'll probably would read the whole series non-stop.

Having said that, the authors remain the same, but the books will have a bit of tweaking :o)
