Adrian | 4 comments Hello, some time (a long time actually) ago, I read a very interesting fantasy book from a not well know series and now I want to start reading it again. The trouble is that i can't remember the name of the book or the author (think it was a woman but I'm not certain). The book stars a group of adventurers(I think), a man which is the group leader who starts hearing voices and gets some kind of cold powers, a barbarian woman who uses a bow, a mage who gets headaches after using magic and a dragon man, the last of his kind.
They fight some kind of fish creature on a ship then some blue skinned woman warriors show up led by a male mage.
And that is what i remember about the book.
If anyone knows what the series or book is called I'd very much appreciate it.

DavidO (drgnangl) I have no idea, but it sounds like something I would have loved as a kid.

Adrian | 4 comments I don't think its a kid book, it was pretty gory. And the fight with the fish thing was crazy.

Kimberly Read | 14 comments Perhaps you are thinking of the In Her Name series by Michael Hicks? The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley is another possibility.

carol. | 256 comments Definitely NOT The Blue Sword. I know that book backwards and forwards. :)

message 6: by Adrian (new)

Adrian | 4 comments Nope, its not either of those. The book is not set in space and the "main" protagonist is a male human. (the book centers around a group of adventurers)
Oh and I remembered a little more, when the leader guy, starts hearing the voice inside his head, its telling him to kill monsters and it also turns him blue like the aforementioned blue warrior ladies.

Zaina (ajakie) I searched and searched but came up with nothing that wasn't In Her Name. Sorry.

Juvi | 5 comments think it might be Tome of the Undergates (Aeons' Gate, #1) , by Sam Sykes

Tasha Turner (tashaturner) I love how we can get answers here and not have to continue going crazy because we can't remember the name/author of a book.
