Garbageman | 46 comments Having so much to do and so little time to do it in or is it to little to do and to much time to do it in.

Seriously, it is snow. My family has designated me the sole snow remover for all our properties and it all must be moved before daybreak.

Terri (terrilovescrows) | 28 comments People who are nasty to waiters

message 3: by Rob (new)

Rob Twinem (runner56) those who use mobile phones whilst driving

message 4: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 6291 comments People who don't know how to walk their dogs, the word "app", and trying to talk to me while I am in a public restroom.

message 5: by Garbageman (new)

Garbageman | 46 comments I was in the military - people who are late for appointments.

message 6: by Wendy (new)

Wendy People talking on their cell phones in public places or involved with whatever is going on with their phone to the exclusion of what is happening around them. Especially have a problem with people being loud or rude to others when using their phones. I remember (with fondness) the days before cell phones, when you could be "unreachable" sometimes!

message 7: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 6291 comments I walked by a couple tonight (assuming they were husband and wife) who were completely ignoring each other. They were playing with their tablets and cell phones ignoring each other and the server when he brought their food to the table.

message 8: by Terri (new)

Terri (terrilovescrows) | 28 comments People walking while using phones/tablets etc.. They arent paying attention and you have to dodge them

message 9: by Laura (new)

Laura Ruetz (minerva451) | 17 comments people who don't watch where they are walking and run into you, people who loudly use cell phones in a restaurant, people who are rude and people who talk during a movie in a movie theater!

message 10: by Terri (new)

Terri (terrilovescrows) | 28 comments Oh - people who dont cover their mouth when they cough or sneeze

message 11: by Garbageman (new)

Garbageman | 46 comments The leaking water meter in the basement. While checking on the boiler, I looked over and saw water on the floor. Hmmm, where is that coming from. The seals seem to have gone and now as it meters my water usage, its going to be the cause of a higher bill. Well, have to call the Water Authority to fix it.

message 12: by Matt (new)

Matt | 12 comments The way you can't "quick flip" through TV channels anymore. Each station takes a few seconds to show up. I used to be able to whip through all stations in a minute. Now I can't get through 10 in a minute.

message 13: by Barbara (new)

Barbara (cinnabarb) I'm really irritated by litterbugs. I don't understand why people can't just throw their bottles, cans, candy wrappers, etc. in a trash can.

message 14: by Laima (new)

Laima | 416 comments Bad drivers. People who speed, tailgate, cut you off, weave and speed, drive recklessly. The morning commute to work is the worst. I try taking the backroads where there is less traffic.

message 15: by Eyehavenofilter (new)

Eyehavenofilter | 133 comments Terri wrote: "Oh - people who dont cover their mouth when they cough or sneeze"

Or while they are eating.... Or yawning.... Ewww!

message 16: by Rob (new)

Rob Twinem (runner56) cyclists who ignore the rules of the road...or as it is known here in the UK the highway code....I speak as an ardent cyclist :)

I love love, love, earplugs too!

message 18: by Wendy (new)

Wendy Barbara wrote: "I'm really irritated by litterbugs. I don't understand why people can't just throw their bottles, cans, candy wrappers, etc. in a trash can."

I agree, Barbara. I live on an alley and people who walk through will just throw their trash everywhere. When I first moved here, I would patrol my end of the alley every couple of weeks, armed with a plastic bag and pick up trash. It baffles me how someone would just drop their garbage anywhere and not feel at all bad about it!

message 19: by Tiffany (last edited Jan 13, 2013 03:03PM) (new)

Tiffany | 10 comments I hate when people throw lit cigarette butts out of their car windows.
Also, people who talk on a cell/mobile phone when they're buying something at a store. I guess they figure the clerks are too insignificant to be noticed.

I keep a box of earplugs at work. Sometimes coworkers play annoying radio stations, sing or talk loudly on the phone or in the hallway and the sound travels. I get headaches from it sometimes.

message 21: by Ava Catherine (new)

Ava Catherine Rude people are at the top of my list, too! I dislike people who are rude to waiters or others who are trying to serve/help them.

I also dislike rude people who insist on carrying on loud involved cell phone conversations in confined spaces such as the airport waiting bays. They have no shame. *earplugs are lifesavers!*

message 22: by Eyehavenofilter (new)

Eyehavenofilter | 133 comments In general people who ignore the very basics of their job. (Which drives most of the general public insane!) Rude waiters, clerks who are more interested in their upcoming evenings activities, customer service people who have no idea what either "customer " or "service " actually means, and general apathy.
However if you yourself are working in the public sector, is to, be prepared for them to be in the worst mood possible, and to take whatever it is that's " got their undies in a bundle " out on you!
( a bad marriage, they hate their OWN job, their kids are uncontrollable, the bank is foreclosing on their house, they just got in a car accident....Pick one! )

message 23: by Ava Catherine (last edited Jan 13, 2013 09:32PM) (new)

Ava Catherine Ah! Just rude people then. They act uncivilized. lol (the barbarians :) )

message 24: by Eyehavenofilter (new)

Eyehavenofilter | 133 comments The pervasiveness of bad grammar in public... If I hear the phrases
" my baby mama" ,"my baby daddy ", or " I ain't done nuthin",
ONE MORE TIME, I swear I'm going to punch someone!

ha ha...it's not really a new fashion. Kids have been doing this for quite a while. Fortunately it's usually a passing phase (At least it was for my son). Someone recently told me the baggy pants are going out of style now but I don't know if that's true.

message 26: by Beth (new)

Beth (techeditor) | 1018 comments Drivers on the expressway who don't put on their turn signals BEFORE they change into my lane in front of me.

and

Drivers on the expressway who pass me and get in front of me when I'm going 75 to 80 mph.

message 27: by Beth (new)

Beth (techeditor) | 1018 comments More:

People with professional, white-collar jobs, such as those I work with, who have bad grammar.

and

College graduates who can't write properly.

message 28: by Beth (new)

Beth (techeditor) | 1018 comments Trev wrote: "cyclists who ignore the rules of the road...or as it is known here in the UK the highway code....I speak as an ardent cyclist :)"

In the U.S., z cyclist who doesn't follow traffic rules can get a ticket.Isn't that true in the UK, too?

message 29: by Beth (new)

Beth (techeditor) | 1018 comments Jenni wrote: "One of my former co-workers smelled whenever he opened his mouth. Why don't they brush their teeth or take a mint or something?"

I have a coworker with that same problem. No one says anything because he's such a nice guy.

I also have a coworker, another very nice person, who heats up his breakfast in the microwave every morning when he gets to work, and it is so smelly, it makes me want to vomit. Again, no one says anything because he's so nice.

message 31: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 6291 comments How about people who try and speak when they are eating? Besides being truly disgusting, it is also very dangerous.

message 32: by Gunjit (new)

Gunjit | 141 comments Whispering noises when I am trying to concentrate.

message 33: by Gunjit (new)

Gunjit | 141 comments Jenni wrote: "Yeah well whispering means they are trying to make an effort not to offend you. But still, if you are in teh library, this is rather annoying. So let me agree and say people who talk or make any k..."

Yes I do agree that they are trying to make an effort, but somehow I find whispering to be more irritating then actual talking.

message 34: by Gunjit (new)

Gunjit | 141 comments Not just the library , at work too :D

message 35: by Gunjit (new)

Gunjit | 141 comments yeah I do have one of them over the ear noise isolation headphones. they work like a charm.

message 36: by Matt (new)

Matt | 12 comments I grew up as a master TV channel flipper. I could run through every channel using the "down" channel button on the remote in like 20 seconds. My mind could magically know, within a millisecond of seeing what was on the screen whether it was something worth watching or not. I was really good at it and I loved doing it.

But with the advent of digital cable and satellite TV, channel flipping has become a dead art. When you click the up or down button on the remote, it takes several seconds for the next station to load. You can't do it anymore. It's painfully slow. I used to be able to flip through 70 channels in 20 seconds. Now I can't get through 3 channels in 20 seconds.

Some people may say, why don't you just use the guide to pick what you want to watch? My response is, I don't like using the guide, OK!?! I like to channel flip and it's been taken away from me!

Barbara (cinnabarb) Ashton wrote: "Winter viral chest infections that you cannot treat with antibiotics which make you cough for weeks and weeks."

I hate that too. Makes your chest muscles really really sore.

message 38: by Angela (new)

Angela (glamourass1) | -1 comments Hmmmm I dislike a lot of things....
Ignorant politics (I will not say which party, as not to offend anyone)
Repeating myself to people who don't listen
Utah drivers
Religious fanatics
Dirty snow
Costco on a Saturday
Walmart (there really is no price low enough to make me go to this store)
Dirty children

I'll stop now... I could go on and on... lol

Barbara (cinnabarb) Jenni wrote: "I hate politicians who lie."

Do any politicians not lie? ha ha

message 40: by Agnes (new)

Agnes (silkchapters) | 40 comments people who Do not hold doors open for you when entering and exiting

message 41: by Dennis (new)

Dennis Lazy People!!!

message 42: by Barbara (new)

Barbara (cinnabarb) People who keep hassling you about the same thing even though you've repeatedly asked them not too. Grrrrrr!

message 43: by VickiLee (new)

VickiLee | 251 comments I do not condone poor grammar. However, I am offended by those who correct the grammar or pronunciation of others publicly. It seems officious and arrogant.

message 44: by Jamie (new)

Jamie People slurping their soup, soda, cereal milk, etc. As an add on to that, people tilting the bowl into their mouths. *shudder*

Lately, I've been hyper aware of a few people in my life who are extremely nosey and spend more time in my business than their own.

I have a million more annoyances, but those are my biggest right now.

message 45: by Jamie (new)

Jamie Jenni, that's the worst!! For some reason politics come up all of the time and I'm pretty vocal about certain causes, but I didn't even tell anyone who I voted for (husband and best friend aside). It really peeves me when they make snide comments like 'well, judging by your voting record...' Uh, you don't even know my voting record!! Argh!!

message 46: by Dominick (new)

Dominick (dominickgrace) People who talk or text in a movie theatre.
Drivers who don't use their turn signals.
The Superbowl.

message 47: by Leigh (last edited Feb 05, 2013 09:12PM) (new)

Leigh | 6291 comments I have to ask, how did the Superbowl annoy you? It's pretty easy to ignore, just turn your TV off.

message 48: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany | 10 comments I went to someone's place for dinner and they had the game on throughout the meal! So it annoyed me as well.

message 49: by Dominick (new)

Dominick (dominickgrace) The Superbowl annoyed me because the coverage ran over 70 minutes late, which meant that the bonus episode of Elementary that was on after it didn't start until 11:15 or so, which meant that even though I'd added an EXTRA HOUR to my PVR's program for it (to compensate for what I knew would be the inevitable interminable nature of this grotesque hyperthyroid spectacle), I still didn't get the whole episode. Football's been shown on TV for over 40 years, and they STILL haven't figured out how to schedule it?????

message 50: by Tiffany (last edited Feb 06, 2013 07:23AM) (new)

Tiffany | 10 comments A friend once claimed to have timed the plays on the field for an average televised football game -- about 15 minutes. Not sure how accurate this is, but it's probably close. The rest is advertising, talking about the game , talking about previous games, future games, etc., etc.,etc.
