The Crimson Fucker (tcf123) Ok... So I was a vegetarian for 10 happy years! Then I decided to get my overweight behind into shape! (which can of backfired cuz now I have no behind) and it was good! Then I lost 60 pounds and the meat nightmares started! At first it was just me dreaming about eating raw frozen meat out of the fridge... And now I'm into the cannibalistic fantasies realm! So one day when I saw a dead deer in the road and actually considered the idea of stopping and eating some... I decided it was time to go get some meat! So I did... Now here its the problem! It still taste like garbage to me! But I crave it so badly! I mean so so badly! I now eat medium rare stakes at restaurants! I and ask for extra meat in my subs! But it all taste horrible! Do any of yall know of a meat that taste like vegetables? Or any way to make the dang things tasty!? I mean how do you eat your meat when you go into a meat binge? BBQ the answer? I haven't try it yet! Maybe some secret spice mixture? I help me! I don't wanna end up eating people!

Phil | 11837 comments Try Soylent Green.

It's inexpensive, nourishing and can be quite yummy.

Susan | 6406 comments My friend was Vegan for 12 years and then started having cravings and dreams about meat. She broke down one night and got a giant hamburger, ate it and ended up in the fetal position, severely sick on her kitchen floor. She could hardly eat for three days. Then she was fine. She began to eat meat, again. She started eating raw hamburger and steaks rare (the bloodier the better in her words). I have no idea why this happened to her. She recently told me that she has cut back on her meat intake.

The Crimson Fucker (tcf123) I did got sick out of an extra meat sub! Vomited my soul that night! But now I'm good! But I do get the raw meat cravings! I go to the meat department and I feel like going zombie on the steaks and livers! Its so weird!

Susan | 6406 comments I do not believe I know about Bunny soup.

The Crimson Fucker (tcf123) I have had the bunny soup! I still! I take supplements and vitamins! I was anemic a few months ago... But now I got those bases covered! But those cow better watch it! I'm chasing one one of these days! How fast do cows run?

Still waiting for some mean meat secrets!

There is a (somewhat) delicious liquid iron supplement that might quell yer cravings. Also, French dip sandwiches are delicious way to ingest loss of meat.

The Crimson Fucker (tcf123) I don't eat anything french! I refuse to!

Riona (rionafaith) | 488 comments There are a lot of exclamation points in this thread.

message 11: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments The last time I ate a French dip was when I was 9 years old at a restaurant called Calhoun's Steakhouse or something. I just loved the bread of the sandwich dipped in that meaty broth juice.

message 12: by Riona (new)

Riona (rionafaith) | 488 comments I can't really help with this because I don't understand the problem. Meat is delicious. Why would you want meat that tasted like vegetables?

message 13: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11837 comments I'd eat more meat if it tasted like marshmallows.

Or almonds.

message 14: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I have nearly never liked the taste of hamburger.

The Crimson Fucker (tcf123) Firstly! I exclamation marks are the new dots! And comas! Chick's dig Em!

Secondly! Meat taste gross! The and I want it to taste like the peppers and veggies that I put on top of it!

Thirdly! Maybe that GM stuff can help me out! Somebody can put cow genes on my eggplant!

And lastly! I just put a lot of meat in my mouth!

Susan | 6406 comments I like marshmallow fluff but will not eat marshmallows.

Susan | 6406 comments I imagine it could be a pain...a slight tragic flaw without the tragic hero quality.

Aquaman. Does he ever utilize the effing sharks, killer whales or the flippin' kraken just one stinkin' time? No. He rides a seahorse.

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments I'm terribly disappointed there are no pictures of meat in this thread.

message 22: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments But then, you also have dream super powers. It could be that it is simply apart of a super power sequence.

I get super sweaty hands that turn to a painful cold afterward but then I have the ability to touch things right out of the oven without getting burned or feeling any heat. Super power sequence, activate!

message 23: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I tried roasting up some beef tritip this past week with great success. I sprinkled it with kosher salt, freshly cracked pepper, and a Montreal steak seasoning that my DIL made for me. I put it in a 490 degree oven with a meat thermometer in the middle. When the temp got to 145, I took it out of the oven and let it rest for about 15 minutes and sliced thinly against the grain. Lovely medium rare.

Oh man was that ever good with roasted new potatoes and steamed asparagus. Oh, and some inexpensive California red wine blend.

message 24: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I use Montreal steak seasoning on a lot of my faux meats. Es good.

I told you about that! It is delicious. I haven't had a meat craving in years. Not since I learned that I could actually like beans and tofu and spinach and stuff.
I remember the taste of beef very fondly but I don't actually want any. Weird vegetarian.

Tofu almost always looks and smell pretty. When I taste it, though, I get soooo sick (as in vomiting for 24 hours...ish). I can't eat that stuff. I'd rather edamame.

Possibly... or stupid sensitive to it. I wish I could eat it, though - it's usually SO pretty and smells wonderful.
