Challenge: 50 Books discussion

Well, I got to 35 last year, which is no mean feat for me, but sadly, not the 50 I had intended to read (did not help not reading a word for the last two months of the year!). So, we'll lower our expectations and see if we can achieve 40 books. I got a Kindle voucher for Christmas so I intend to get stuck into and knock a few off my to-read list!

First Book of the year, a short one, but a good one that both myself and my two girls enjoyed:



We're big fans of Dr Seuss, and this is just as good as our other favourites.

So, one down, 39 to go! Almost finished , and , so I'll be off to a great start in 2013 (we won't mention the fact that these are what I was reading at the end of last year :P)

Good luck this year! How did you enjoy Seven Ancient Wonders? It's one of the few Matthew Reilly books I haven't read yet.

Also, I love The Secret Garden! :)

Seven Ancient Wonders was good, but wasn't my favourite Matthew Reilly - that would probably be Temple.

Brilliant! A very cleverly written book.
Now to finish Cloudstreet. I think I'll just stick to reading one book at a time - it's taking too long when I'm reading two at once!

Glad I've finished this one. It was okay, but not my favourite Tim Winton. That would probably be Breath.

Tuesdays With Morrie

I have been wanting to read this for a long time and it didn't disappoint, especially as I ended up a blubbering mess! I could easily read this again and again and again.

Book 10: A Fortunate Life

One of my favourites this year.

Book 11 "The Folk of the Faraway Tree" by Enid Blyton. Finally getting my girls to head to bed earlier so we can get reading time back again!

Yes, it was really good. Not many books can engross you and excite you and give you goosebumps like this one. He will be sadly missed for sure!

I just started this one too and I can't put it down! I didn't realize it would have been so readable or else I would have picked it up years and years ago.

Oh, I thought that was just another novel, not a sequel. I will definitely read that one. Hopefully we find out if Peekay becomes welterweight champion of the world? I want to read "April Fool's Day" too. I hear that's another of his best
