Twist Revisited discussion

This place may look nice, but don't be naive. Animals are not the only thing to happily make a meal of you, and it seems that the plants won't stay still...

Ei peeked out of the bushes, very unsure of whoever this was. She looked... okay, he supposed.

Katie had now been walking for about 20 minutes, and thanks to the forest she had to take off her high heels. She had no utter idea where the hell she was or why she was in some forest. Last thing she could remember was getting ready in her private room at the studio and now she was in a forest? It just didn't make any sense. Katie had figured it was some stupid prank by her fellow co-workers but after 20 minutes wouldn't they quiet the joke? She had been calling for them but they didn't seem to be ready to end the joke. She sighed heavily looking around again "HEY! This isn't funny anymore! Very funny joke, now come out now!" she called to no one in particular. All of a sudden she saw someone up ahead. Katie holding her shoes in her hands set off to see who it was.

Katie sighed in relief just glad to have some human contact, maybe she was apart of this stupid joke. She put her hands on her hips and raised her eye brow, clearly this woman was going along with he joke. "Yes I am very lost and confused. Lets give up the charade shall we? The joke was funny and original, sure leave your co worker in the middle of the forest, very funny" She then crossed her arms seeming to be very well fed up with everything. "So, if you could please tell everyone to come out that would be great" Clearly Katie was still assuming this whole thing was some elaborate joke. Katie had never seen this girl around before..perhaps she was new...

Katie glared at this strange woman eyes full of confusion and a hint of nervousness. Katie was rather good at seeing if someone was lying but this woman seemed completely sure of herself. What on earth did this lady mean? This whole thing started to make Katie feel nervous and she started to feel a sense of panic. Ok. So perhaps this wasn't a prank..maybe she was kidnapped..? But nothing this extreme ever happened, but she tried to calm herself. She was jumping to conclusions..she was sure it was nothing.. She ran her fingers through her hair obviously trying to figure everything out "Can you just help me please? I have no idea what your talking about..and besides I need to be at the studio by 6:20" Katie then started at Lilith with a taken aback look "Excuse me? A touch up? What is that supposed to mean?" she asked her voice seeming to take offense.

Finally, Ei stepped out of the bush. He was tired of this demon and the odd, peachy creature with her. "... Back off... bitch."

"Your presence..." Ei searched a moment for the word. "Disgusts me." Speaking aloud certainly was hard. He turned towards the other girl. "And you... flesh ball... What are you?"

Katie gave a confused look "What do you mean? I'm human..like everyone else on Earth....Please could you people make some sense?" she pleaded as she felt a headache start to develope. Too much was going on for Katie, thousands of thoughts were going through her head and all these people seemed so strange. She rubbed her temples and closed her eyes trying to think straight, but there wasn't much to think about. All she knew was that she was in the middle of some forest with some strangers. All of a sudden her eyes shot open. "Oh God...wait...There is no forest where I live. Then where did this forest come from??" she said in a voice full of confusion and fear. Her ideas were turning to the worst...but why and how the hell did this happen? Katie started to not pay attention to the two people near her but rather on herself and what was happening.

"Human..." Ei frowned slightly and licked his lips. "What is a... human? ... Does it make a... good... meal?"

Katie felt like everything around her was spinning when indeed it was. She knew she was supposed to be in the studio preparing for the 6:20 segment where she would be nowhere near a forest. But as much as she knew she should be somewhere else she couldn't leave these woods. The trees and two people around her started to blur and focus then blur again, soon she felt as if she was going to faint. Before she could help herself she felt herself on the forest floor unconscious.

Shi quietly watched the human and the one watching her. A human. He could exercise his powers on a week human mind. Revenge for her... that one human that had done so much to harm him. A dark smile lit up Shi's handsome face. How should he mess with this unconscious human? perhaps he should make it seem like she was unconscious for an extremely long time. Or maybe he would wait... and watch this human for awhile longer.

Ei scowled down at the human thing. "No good... thoroughly... useless."

Shi decided to wait and he slowly sank to the forest floor, in the darkness of a trees shadow. He leaned against the trunk. Waiting would be more entertaining. Humans were more fun when they were awake. Oh the joy of playing with humans.

Katie started to stir as her dreamless sleep started to end...but wait, wasn't she just waking up from the strangest dream? Surprisingly she could remember the dream as if it were reality, every detail extremely vivid. Had she fallen asleep as she was getting ready to go to the studio? That was a possibly answer, she hadn't been sleeping well lately. It would explain the strange dream. Katie's eyes slowly fluttered open as she felt the damp dirt ground under her. She frowned slightly as her eyes adjusted to the strange place. Kate then realized she was where she was again. So it wasn't a dream. Katie then jumped up quickly seeing one of the people yet again. "W-would you mind telling me who you are and where I am?" she asked nervously looking around.

"I... am Ei. And..." He sat down and scratched at his ear for a moment before continuing, "You are here."

Shi couldn't help but snort with laughter from where he sat. She is here. What a very descriptive response. This Ei creature seemed to have difficulty speaking or finding the words to express himself. How interesting.

Katie started at Ei for a moment still expecting for him to say more but it seemed he finished his answer. Her eyes narrowed as she started at him, evidently not pleased with the answer she received. "Well then, it's very nice to meet you Ei, but I'm afraid 'here' doesn't help my situation. No, it doesn't help it in the slightest bit because here could be anywhere. And frankly it seems to me like no one knows where here is!" her voice was raised but she then quieted herself. She took a moment to calm herself as she counted to 3 mentally. Katie then sighed calming herself once again.

"Well...I guess I am going to have to find out where exactly 'here' is" Katie took out her little make-up compact as she opened it looking into the mirror. The little mirror revealed her reflection and it also showed that someone was behind her.
Katie gasped slightly as she spun around to see who was standing near her, there she saw Shi leaning against a tree. Katie really didn't appreciate the unknown presence and she put her hands on her hips addressing him "Now who exactly are you?" she asked with an eyebrow raised.

Shi gave a sweet smile. "I am Shi." He pronounced. "I see you seem to be lost and this Ei creature is not giving you much of an answer." Shi would mess with this human by using her obvious confusion to his advantage. Excitement filled Shi's eyes. It was hard for him to control and hide such excitement. He hadn't gotten to mess with human minds in such a long time.

"Back... off, demon... It's mine." Ei grabbed the human creature's arm posessively.

Shi sighed. "You can have it. I don't want it." He paused and added thoughtfully "Although it is always nice to share your toys." An evil grin spread across the demons face. Something told him the human wouldn't like being called a "toy".

Katie seemed much more impressed by this Shi person because he actually seemed to be getting to her questions. Finally she wasn't being ignored or given these rhymes or riddles for answers. "Well, nice to meet you Shi. I'm Katie Holmes, now I hate to rush a meeting but I really want to figure some things out. I have no idea where I am and-" she stopped her sentence when she was abruptly pulled back by Ei. Katie scowled at Ei trying to loosen his grip from her arm "Hey! He's trying to help me out, maybe he can give me some answers. Now, please do let me go" she said narrowing her eyes at Ei. Katie then was startled by Ei's choice of words and how he called Shi a demon, but she quickly focused on other things.
Katie cleared her throat jumping back into the little argument that erupted "First off I am NOT an 'it'. My name is Katie and no one can have me" she then shot a mad glare at Shi "I am NOT a toy nor am I an 'it'. So you can stop calling me that" Katie was starting to feel that none of these people would be willing to help her, they seemed only interested in themselves. Katie again tried to pull away from this Ei person, she was not liking the fact her arm was being held in such a tight way.

Shi smirked at the human. "In this land human, you are very much an it. Also, I don't think you're going to make it to your appointment.... too bad for you." Shi walked closer to the human and Ei. It was a pretty human, but humans were not to be trusted. They were toys, not things to fall in love with.

Katie glared at this person and she thought he was actually going to be helpful. Obviously he had turned out to be a very different person, deep down he made her uneasy, but she would never admit it aloud. All these people were unsettling to her, they all seemed to think they were superior. She crossed her arms starting at him in defiance "Then, where exactly am I? No one seems to want to tell me. Oh~!" she paused and began again "Let me guess, I'm in Oz aren't I? Now what? Do I need to find some magic slippers to find my way home?" she said this her voice full of sarcasm.
She then rolled her eyes "Please. Once they find out I'm missing from the News Station they will start looking for me. I'm the star of the show so they couldn't do it without me" she smiled proud of what she said.

((Er..... I'm gonna cheer for Ei. *brings out the Pom-Poms and fireworks* GO EI!!))

((Drat. I"m gonna cheer for Shi. GO SHI BEAT UP DAT EI))

((Since there is no one to cheer for my character I will take on the duty of being her cheer captain. WHOO! GO KATIE! YOU GO! YEAH!))

((Well, I just thought that Ei would be more suited to win if he and Shi ended up fighting mentally or physically over Katie.............. Not to say Shi is weaker than Ei or nothing. ^-^ Just that Ei is...... supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.))

((LOLOL I might be able to agree with that. Shi is kinda a wimp when it comes to fighting other creatures. xD Humans, well he knows he can take them. But he can never be certain about the strength of others minds.))

"You might be somewhere such as oz. Whatever Oz is..." Shi said in a dangerous tone of voice. "I don't know what magic slippers would do for you. And darling, I believe your friends won't ever find you here." He walked around Katie with a dangerously sweet smile on his face. He stopped and looked Katie in the eyes suddenly with a very serious expression on his face. "And human, I would be careful because there are creatures that would want to hurt you more than me. There are creatures who would want you dead. Humans are more fun alive than dead to me. So, if you manage to leave this forest I would be very, very careful."

((Also Ei kinda rules over this domain so that kinda gives him a better start..heh...but I am really liking Shi right now :D He's cool! ^.^))


Katie never took her eyes off this strange person, she felt as if he was going to do something at any moment and if he did, she wanted to be ready. Everyone she had met in these strange woods seemed to have this strange persona, and everyone kept talking as if this wasn't earth. Well..were they just kidding or..? The idea of being in some strange new place started to not sound so crazy after all. She glared daggers at him hating how he was sure people wouldn't find her. She was the kind of person who would argue her side for as long as she needed and was always very stubborn. "No! That's not true. They will find me, it only takes a matter of time. They will come" she reassured him with steady sure voice.
"I can take care of myself thank you very much. So nice to know that you care for my safety" she smiled at him with a look that said 'I-know-what-I'm doing-trust-me' when in fact she was a bit lost on what to do. She then rolled her eyes "Again, I have a name. It's Katherine. But most people call me Katie..So stop calling me human" she then stopped for a moment, would people really kill her? It sounded like a threat to her...but she still couldn't get past the part of people attacking her for no reason. Katie started to feel nervous and slightly scared.

"They won't come because they don't know where here is. And Katie, you don't know what dangers there are, so how can you take care of yourself." The dangerous smile was back on Shi's face. He circled once more around Katie and then backed up. "How weak is your mind human? Would you like to see?" Excitement filled Shi's eyes. But why was he asking this human for her permission to mess with her mind an inner voice asked him.

Katie clenched her fists and also clenched her teeth in annoyance, why did he have to keep telling her no one would find her? They certainly would find her...she hoped. "Yes they will find me, just watch them. You'll see, and when they do I can't wait to see your surprise!" She said confidently smiling. She then thought for a moments to think "Now..lets see...when lost in forests you must stay where you are and wait for help..and then you can make shelter" she murmured to herself as she tried to recount her girlscout training.
Katie looked back up to Sui narrowing her eyes, and crossing her arms "Please, are you planning on showing me some magic trick? I hardly think your tricks will effect me" she said eyes daring him to do something. She then sighed "But make it quick, I need to figure out what I'm going to do till I am found"

Shi smiled malevolently. Magic trick. She called it a magic trick. Should he make time stop for her? Should he make time speed up? He knew what he would do. A look of concentration passed over his face. Her perception of how she moved would slow down while everything around her seemed to speed up. That seemed like the best way to annoy this human. "Tell me human, how frustrating is it to have time pass you by? How irritating is it to watch those you love leave you and you can do nothing about it because the time to stop them has already passed? Tell me human, what does it feel like to not have control of time?" Pain echoed in Shi's voice as he asked the questions. It hurt not to have control.

Katie's smug expression soon disappeared as fast as it surfaced, there was no pleasure in her face, it had no changed to panic. What was going on? How was he doing this? All these questions spun furiously in her head as she tried to calm herself, her breathing had now become quick short breaths. No matter how much she tried everything around her was moving far too fast and she was moving far too slow. Katie felt helpless as time just seemed to slip away. Horribly painful memories sped past her as she relived each one, her father leaving her and never coming back, her being the only child in the 1st grade class with no one for fathers day, and many more. Katie hated crying or showing any kind of weakness for that matter but each one of these memories stabbed her painfully. Tears started to form in her eyes as the memories lashed at her, she couldn't take this anymore. It was all too much..she was just so helpless in this situation. Katie hadn't even realized that she was now on her knees trying to stop the memories and times speed.
Katie through all this tried to remain quiet not wanting to answer any of Shi's questions as she tried to cope with this but eventually she gave him "Please...stop this...please..I-I don't like it.." she managed to whisper still not looking at Shi.

Shi stopped it as suddenly as he had started. Guilt filled his heart. This human was stronger than the others. It was no fun to play with her. Most humans deserved the pain he caused them but this one seemed completely innocent. No horrified look of one who had done some wrong had crossed her face as she relived her memories. Only pain of the past. Of wrong done to her. He reached out a hand to the human to help her up. "I'm sorry. You didn't deserve that human. You're different from most of them. They're all deceivers. Evil. Selfish. But you seem to be more the victim of them."

Katie couldn't help but breath a sigh of relief, everything seemed to be back to normal as if nothing happened. The painful memories had now stopped, leaving her to recount them in her mind over and over. Katie stifled back any tears that were to come, she was rather good at concealing her emotions. She was able to keep her tears from streaming down her flushed face but they still remained in her eyes. Katie roughly pushed Shi's hand away and got up herself, not meeting his eyes. Katie quickly covered up her defenseless side as seen moments ago with her usual self. Katie then countered "I'm not a victim! Why do you say that? I'm not" she said defiantly still refusing to look at him. She was far too upset she let a part of her show that she very much wanted to keep hidden, last thing she wanted was pity.

"Your expression." Was all Shi answered putting his hands into his pocket. He shrugged. "It wasn't the same as most humans. Your expression wasn't filled with guilt or horror. It was filled with sorrow." Shi waved his hand in farewell. "I must go attended to some other business. Good luck finding your way out human. Seeing as you would not like any help." Shi turned and began to walk away.

Katie as he was looking away quickly wiped away any traces of tears she had in her eyes in hopes he wouldn't notice. She hated the fact he had been able to tell her expression while reflecting on the memories she was recounting. She started to wonder how long she had been in this strange place and if people had started looking for her. They must of, right? She knew it had been about a couple hours spent here and perhaps they were starting to worry...soon her small town would be stirred with news. Not much involving missing persons ever happened and she knew it would be on the morning news. She wished she could go back home and maybe forget about this whole ordeal. She bit her lip then called out, "Hey! Wait! I-I do want help..so don't go.." she said looking down at the ground.

"Ah, the human asked for help, so I as a kind gentlemen must help." The demon snorted as he turned around. "Well there is not much I can do to help you dear except to make sure no one eats you. That's all. I don't know how to get back to your human world nor do I want to go there. But if you must, come along." Shi turned back around, wondering if the human would actually follow. He began making his way through the forest. No moving through time and space as he liked with the human around. Humans couldn't travel like that. He would have to walk around by foot.

Ei, being the slow-thoughted god that he was, finally began to notice what was was happening around him. His human was escaping. "Wait, demon!" He suddenly was much faster. He strode over, grabbing hold of Katie's arm. "Mine."

((AHAHAHAH YAY! :D sorry we didnt' exactly wait very well T-T I felt bad...but... It was so. I couldn't stop! I"M SORRRYYY))
