What did you to with your son? You are reading like crazy at the moment. Does he take a lot of naps or something?

You have Claudia to thank, because it was her nomination for last year and it was one of the best books I read so I nominated it this year. :)

I definitely am :D Un Lun Dun was fun.

My first book for this challenge. :)

Wow I think I am in love with China Miéville *sigh*"
That was my response too. My next was Kraken, but it wasn't as good. I need to try Railsea...

HI Barbara what did you think of Gone Girl? Brilliant book in my opinion, thorouhly enjoyed it nd had my head spinning.
I didn't like the first half. I kept wondering what everybody thought so special. I had seen a lot of praise for this book and I just didn't get it. Then we understood what happened and I understood why everybody thought it was a great book and it did give me the chills at some points. Too bad the beginning was a bit boring.

I think thats why I really liked it Barbara as it comes across as a boring book and then all of a sudden youre hit with one shocker after another. Its one of those books that does give you the chills and you have to have a few inutes rest to comtemplate all that has happened.

I had very high expectations because all you guys already read it and thought it was one of the best books ever. I thought it was just another mysterybook and I just didn't get it in the first hald and kept wondering what everybody loved so much and then I got it. Maybe if I didn't have all those expectations I might have enjoyed the first part more.

I second that

Finished Code Name Verty nominated by Claudia.
Great book. Thanks for the nomination, Claudia! I recently saw a documetary about the ATA which formed the perfect backstory for this book.

Finished Good Omens nominated By Varla Fiona. That was actually a reread for me and I must say I liked it better the second time so thnks for nominating it Varla Fiona so I got to discover it again.

@Lauren: you really should start. There were some great reads in there.
@Varla Fiona: I really did enjoy it. The first time I liked the book, but not that much and I gave it 4 stars because it was better than books I give 3 stars and also a bit out of loyalty to Terry Pratchett. But this time around I almost gave it 5 stars. I got more of the jokes and things that were set up early in the story to come back 200 pages later and I saw how intricate the story really was. I decided to reread this one just to see what made you nominate it since I didn't get it and I wouldn't have recommended it to anyone. But I really do understand now.
